Hazle 'Hade' Tetrick, 77

Born on Sept. 11, 1929, in Trail, Missouri Hazle ‘Hade’ Tetrick, 77, of Montpelier, died Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at the Iowa City Veterans Hospital, Iowa City.

Funeral Service were held on Friday, May 11, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Burial was in Island Cemetery, Fruitland, with military rites provided by the combined services of the American Legion Post 27 and the V.F.W. Post 1565.

‘Hade’ was born on Sept. 11, 1929, in Trail, Missouri, the son of Louis and Valley Tate Tetrick. He married Loretta Kinsley on July 7, 1956, in Muscatine, Iowa.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Korea. He was also a retired truck driver and a member of the Teamsters Union. He has resided in the Montpelier area since 1962.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta Tetrick of Montpelier, Iowa; two sons, Eric Tetrick of Pleasant Valley, Iowa, and Gregg Tetrick of Montpelier, Iowa; one daughter, Yvonne True and husband, Bruce, of Mitchellville, Iowa; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five brothers, Hase Tetrick, Wendell Tetrick, Ferd Tetrick, Narvil Tetrick, and Dwight Tetrick, all of Missouri; and two sisters, Debbie Croney and Ima Griggs, both of Missouri.

‘Hade’ was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Harry Tetrick, Haskell Tetrick, Hattress Tetrick, and Kimon Tetrick.
