Born Oct. 31, 1917, in Souder, Mo. Vivian Helen Allen, the daughter Leroy Gay and Ethyl (Gardner) Gay, was born Oct. 31, 1917, in Souder, Mo., and departed this life May 2, 2007 at the age of 89.
Vivian was a resident of Nixa, for the past six years, moving from Ozark. She was a homemaker. She loved hunting for antiques, rock hounding, and looking for Indian artifacts.
On Feb. 17, 1945, Vivian and D.O. Allen were united in marriage in Lexington, Mo. Vivian and D.O. Allen were blessed with one son, Dennis.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Orievle Gay, and her husband, D.O. Allen.
She is survived by one son, Dennis Allen, Nixa; one brother, Bud Gay, Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters, Louise Sykes, of the state of Washington, Grace Miles, Columbia, and Bee Brandenberger, Lancaster, Ohio; and a host of other relatives and friends.
