He loved music and playing with the band
A memorial service for Ellis “Whitey” Upshaw,73, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Church of the Living God in Ava. A musical memorial will be held May 19 at the Wagon Wheel Park south of Mtn. Grove.
Mr. Upshaw passed away April 6 after a short illness.
Ellis was a member of the Church of the Living God. He loved playing music at church and with the Booger County Bluegrass Band.
He donated his body to a medical school.
