Edward "Ed" Christy, 87

Loved to work with wood and his craftsmanship Edward (Ed) Christy passed away Monday, April 16, 2007, at his home in Ava.

Ed entered this life on Jan. 20, 1920, in Wiley, Colo., one of 15 children of Lewis and Violet Christy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Violet; his wife and the mother of his children, Lois, and also his wife, Wilda; and one daughter, Martha Nichols; as well as 13 brothers and sisters.

Ed is survived by his wife, Bea, of the home; two daughters, Violet Blakey and husband, George, and Joyce Burton; one son, William and wife, Barbara; and a son-in-law James Nichols. He is also survived by one sister, Viola Denney, 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He also leaves a host of friends and family.
