He was born in McClurg Yuell O. Jenkins, 91, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, at Selah Convalescent in Selah, Wash. He was born in McClurg, Mo., on Aug. 2, 1915, to Elic and Mary Jenkins.
He married Jessie Engelhardt on Feb. 25, 1936, in Ava.
Yuell is survived by a son, Norman Jenkins and wife, Sarah Alice, of Selah, Wash.; two grandsons, Tim Jenkins and wife, Maxine, of Seattle, Wash., and their son, Dylan Jenkins, and Tony Jenkins and Donna, of Calif. A number of nieces and nephews also survive him.
His wife, parents, three sisters and one brother precede him in death.
Yuell retired from the City of Selah in 1974.
Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 16, at 3 p.m., at Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors with Pastor Dewitt McAbee and Pastor Doug Perkins officiating. Interment was in Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
