Of Ozark Paul E. Lewis, 46, Ozark, was born May 23, 1960, and met his Lord and Savior on Jan. 12, 2007. Although Paul’s life on earth was short, he touched many lives. After serving in the United States Air Force, in 1980 he was employed as an over the road truck driver.
Paul is joined in Heaven by his mother, Pat Lewis, who passed away in 2005, and a brother, David, who passed away in 1955, and other loved ones awaiting his arrival.
Paul leaves behind his father, Dave and wife, Janice of Ozark; his sister, Teresa Bruns and husband, Randy, of Nixa, who loved him dearly; his grandmother, Jenny Osborne, of Ozark, who nicknamed him “Little Paul”, loved him unconditionally and will miss him immensely. He so loved all his surviving aunts, uncles, cousins and his traveling four-legged companion, Sheba.
His friends, family and over the road “brothers and sisters” will gravely miss his silly chuckle, the love he bestowed and all the times he gave of himself. Words cannot describe the heart Paul had for others.
Graveside internment will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, with full military honors at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, under the direction of Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark. Additional funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, , in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark.
