Bonita Jean Collins, 60

Lived in Ava for the past five years Bonita Jean Collins, daughter of Henry and Bea (Enger) Balliet, was born Dec. 25, 1946, in Aberdeen, S.D., and passed away Feb. 10, 2007, at the age of 60.

On June 15, 1997, Bonita and Anthony Bulver were united in marriage in Lindstrom, Minn. Anthony and Bonita have lived in Ava for the past five years after moving here from Tucson, Ariz. Bonita was the clinical coordinator for the Missouri Ozarks Community Heath Center. She loved treating people in the clinic and seeing to their medical safety.

Bonnie found peace at her farm in Lindstrom, in gardening and her chickens.

Survivors include her husband Anthony, of Ava; her parents, Henry and Bea Balliet, of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; two sons, Robert H. Collins and wife, Tammy, of Forest Lake, Minn., and Gary B. Collins, Minneapolis, Minn.; two brothers, Wayne Balliet, of Bismarck, N.D., and Wallace Balliet, of Valentine, Neb.; and three sisters, Beverly Chapman and husband, Michael, of Buffalo, Wyo., Brenda Stapleton and husband, Eric, of Japan, and Betty Donat, of Rathdrum, Idaho; and three grandchildren, Shelby, Erin and Cole Collins, all of Forest Lake, Minn.

Cremation services are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Clinkingbeard Chapel.
