She was raised in Ava Following a long hard battle with cancer Audrey Virginia Tando, age 75, of Nixa, departed this life, Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, and cradled in the arms of her creator, was carried to her eternal resting place in heaven.
Lord knows her lifestyle here on earth entitles her to walk the streets paved with gold and sit on the right side of God as one of His most Precious Angels.
She was born March 20, 1931 in Bell, Calif., the daughter of Harvey and Roxie (Norris) Beason. She was raised in Ava, and on June 6, 1953, was united in marriage to Fred Tando. She was a Baptist by faith.
Audrey was a small woman with a big heart and was loved by all who knew her. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed her family and friends. She was a member of the Fairview Antique Car Club and looked forward to the monthly meetings with her friends. She especially enjoyed the visits and traveling with her dear nephew and his wife, Ron and Pat Stevens.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 53 years, Fred Tando; two sons, Gregory Lee Tando, Aurora, and Jeffrey Dale Tando and dear partner, Pamela Allen, Springfield; a daughter, Pamela Sue Williams and husband Joe, Clever; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters; and three brothers.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Dean Tando in 1988, and a brother, Claude Beason.
A visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m. today (Thursday) in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John’s Hospice Care or the charity of the donor’s choice.
