Born Oct. 2, 1944, in Ava Joyce Ann Norman, daughter of Glenn and Nellie Mae (Harnden) Norman, was born Oct. 2, 1944, in Ava, and passed away Feb. 6, 2007, at the age of 62.
Joyce was a resident of Ste. Genevieve, for 17 years after moving from Ava. Joyce was a St. Louis Cardinal fan and got to attend several ballgames. She loved being with her family and all her friends. Joyce touched many lives and worked at the Sheltered Workshop. She was a member of the Highway Church of the Nazarene in Ava.
She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts, and uncles.
Survivors include one brother,, Ronnie Norman of Ava; one sister, Janice Sutherland and husband Calvin, of Ste. Genevieve; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; two aunts, Ellen Dilsaver, of Nixa, and Kathleen Harnden, of Ava.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, with the Rev. Oren Alcorn officiating.
Interment will follow in the Ava Cemetery. Visitation will be today (Thursday) from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
