A “true” cowboy who loved living on the farm Daniel Phillip Huff began his short lifetime of blessing in Springfield on July 2, 2002. His life ended unexpectedly on Jan. 20, 2007, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, at the age of 4.
Daniel was an active little boy and a small “true” cowboy who loved living on the farm. Animals were his special friends and a ride on the farm tractor was a favorite treat.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Kimberlee Huff; his father, Phillip Dollarhide; maternal grandparents, Cecil and Sonya Huff, Ava; maternal great-grandparents, Junior and Marie Huff, Ava, and Boyd and Della Mallonee, Red Oak, Iowa; paternal grandparents, Willy and Wilma Cowens; paternal great-great-grandmother and loyal friend, Dora Dollarhide; and his God-mother Chanelle Dieckmann, of Manhattan, Kan. Daniel is also survived by several special aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous other caring relatives.
Funeral services for Daniel Huff were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, in the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ava, with Brother R.J. Mendel and the Rev. Robert Roberts officiating. Burial was in Springcreek Cemetery, Ava.
Services, visitation and burial were under the direction of Ava Family Funeral Home.
