Marian Pelch, 85

A retired nurse Marian Pelch was born in Las Vegas, N.M., on Nov. 16, 1921. She died Dec. 7, 2006 at her home following a long illness.

She was a retired nurse, having worked for the state of California as she spent most of her life living in California.

She was a loving mother, kind and generous to everyone. Though she helped to raise several children, she gave birth to only one child, Jerry Pelch, who lovingly cared for his mother during the last few years of her life.

Marian was an ardent gardener who loved being outside in God’s nature. She loved getting her hands in the soil, growing and experimenting with various plants. She had a very inquisitive mind about the things of God and loved growing and being surrounded by her beautiful flowers.

She loved to help others and to do missionary work. She helped support many missionaries and those doing God’s work around the world. She also helped others place Bibles and Bible studies in American prisons and prisons in other lands.

She was concerned for children in orphanages, and shelter homes for abused women, mothers and children. She also enjoyed studying the Bible.
