A devoted mother and grandmother JoAnn Carol Heard, 64, of Lee’s Summit, passed away Dec. 3, 2006, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and was employed by Treat America.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Heard, and parents, L.T. and Cora Hopper.
Her survivors include a daughter, Debbie Heard of Overland Park, Kan.; a son Greg Heard, of Lee’s Summit; grandsons, Alan and James Heard, of Independence; and brothers, Van Hopper, of Raymore, and Leon Hopper, of Mountain Grove.
Services will be held at Craig-Hurtt-Bradley Funeral Home in Mountain Grove on Saturday, Dec. 9. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. and the funeral will be at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Oak Forest Cemetery, Norwood.
