Erna attended the Goodhope Nazarene Church Erna Sidonja Watson, daughter of August Michel and Anna (Scholz) Michel, was born May 13, 1935 in Weckelsdorf, Czechslovakia, and departed this life Nov. 8, 2006, in her home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 7l.
In 1960, Erna and Georg Kraus were united in marriage in Germany and to this union four children were born. He preceded her in death. She married Michael Watson in 1974 in Germany and to this union one daughter was born.
Erna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Georg; one son, Karl-Heinz; one great-grandson, Tyler Dobbs; two brothers, and nine sisters.
Erna loved traveling, crocheting, gardening, puzzles, spending time with her family and friends. When she was younger she enjoyed dancing the waltz and the tango. Erna attended the Goodhope Nazarene Church.
Erna will be remembered by her smile and the positive outlook she had on life. She always saw the good in people.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Helga and Gary Emrick, Ava, Birgit and Danny Hylton, Avilla, Mo., Georg and Sandra Kraus, Rockaway Beach, and Tamika and Willie Henry, Ava; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five sis-ters, Anna Sebald, Hilda Rotschka, Margot Laugner, Johanna Anders and Helene Scholze, all of Germany; a special friend, Violet Blakey, Ava; and many other rela-tives and friends.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at the Clinking-beard Chapel with the Rev. Vernon Fuller officiating. Interment fol-lowed in the Ava Cemetery. Services were conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
