Mary Belle Hennan, 79

She had worked at Chastain’s Nursing Home Mary Belle Hennan, 79, began her earthly life on June 8, 1927, at McAllister, Okla., as the fifth child of Arthur Harrison and Myrtle House Pulliam. Mary passed away on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at Webco Manor in Marshfield.

During the Depression, her family moved to California where she met and married Arthur W. Hennan on Sept. 23, 1945.

Mary was a devout member of the Church of Christ. She loved sending Bible studies through the mail helping others to find Christ. She cherished her big family and spending time with them. She also spent time sewing, especially cross stitch, and gardening. She had worked at Chastain’s Nursing Home as a nurse’s aid and housekeeper, as well as having been a nurse’s aide in hospitals in California.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 34 years, Arthur, and three brothers, Sylvester, Howard and Nim.

Surviving are two sons, Bruce Hennan and wife, Diane, of Quanah, Texas, and Dr. Floyd Hennan and wife, Laura, of Abilene, Texas; five daughters, Mary Mundy and husband, Philip, of Bellview, Ohio, Barbara Walters and husband, Danny, of Newalla, Okla., Betty Luzadder and husband, Ernie, of Marshfield, Kandy Barnes and husband, Alvin, of Ava, and Dr. Pearl Hennan-Hain and husband, David, of Wurtland, Ky.; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wyba Neinstadt, Modesto, Calif., and Alma Williamson, Vancouver, Wash.; three brothers, Glenn Pulliam, Lodi, Calif., William Pulliam, state of California, and Foy Pulliam, Hemett, Calif.; as well as other relatives and a host of friends.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at Turkey Creek Cemetery with Bro. Jerry Keene officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the American Kidney Foundation or a charity of your choice.

Arrangements were under the direction of Ava Family Funeral Home.
