Son of George and Faye (Phillips) Hutchison DeWayne Hutchison, 55, a resident of Buffalo, Iowa, died on Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus in Davenport, Iowa after suffering a massive heart attack at his home.
Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa. He will be cremated following the service. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. today (Thursday) at Rose Hill Cemetery, Buffalo. Memorials may be made to the family.
He was born Sept. 18, 1951, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of George and Faye (Phillips) Hutchison.
DeWayne was employed at Dahl Ford of Davenport for 24 years. In addition, he worked for Vonachen Cleaning Service and at the Casino Rock Island as a deck hand.
He was a great fan of NASCAR, especially his favorite driver, #3 Rusty Wallace.
DeWayne was fond of his Dobermans, enjoyed collecting Snap-On tools and loved the times he spent with his beloved family.
Those left to honor his memory include his sisters, Katherine (David Nix) Blew, of Buffalo, Marilyn (Chris) Wolford of Blue Grass, Iowa and Vivian (Randy) Moore of Buffalo; his brothers, Floyd (Linda Gaile) Hutchison of Phoenix City, Ala., Glen Hutchison of Buffalo, Terry (Rhonda) Hutchison of Buffalo, Michael (Kerrie) Hutchison of Davenport and Gary (Deanna) Hutchison of Ozark; his half-brothers, Bernie Hutchison of Ava, Wilburn (Louise) Hutchison of Norwood, Lee (Sharon) Hutchison of Seymour, Iowa, Ron (Judy) Hutchison of Ava, and Manuel (Sue) Hutchison of Buffalo; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
DeWayne was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Brad Hutchison, twin infant sisters, his nieces, Seri Hutchison and Dawn Lee Ward; and his nephews, Mark Hutchison, Michael Thomas Hutchison and Micah Aaron Hutchison.
