A welder at Hutchens Industries in Mansfield Thomas Coffey, the son of Herman and Elaine Coffey, was born Dec. 29, 1964, in San Diego, Calif. and departed this life Oct. 8, 2006 at the age of 41.
Thomas lived in Missouri the last 8 1/2 years after moving here from California. He had a partner in life, Sandra Carlson, for the last 17 years in which a daughter, Sarah Coffey and son, Thomas Coffey Jr. were born. Thomas was a welder at Hutchens Industries in Mansfield, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his parents, Herman and Elaine Coffey of Lone Pine, Calif.; his life partner, Sandra Carlson, of Wasola; one daughter, Sarah Coffey, of the home; one son, Thomas Coffey Jr., of the home; four brothers, Herman Coffey Jr., Kenneth Coffey and James Coffey, all of California, and Charles Coffey of Massachusetts; special cousins, Gerald and Cindy Ingram, of Squires, hillbilly mom and dad, Harry and Paula Brown, of Theodosia; and best friend, Jerry Kaiser, of Squires; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m., in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Chapel, Ava, with Pastor Ron Felker officiating. Interment followed in the Murray Cemetery. Love offerings may be made to family at the funeral home.
