Service was conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Roger Neal Hastings died peacefully at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, after a brief illness. He leaves behind his heart broken family, wife of 22 years, Jenny Starr Hastings, Ava, his children, Daniel Sean and Laura Jean Hastings, Ava, Douglas Shane Hastings, Dayton, Ohio, Scott Ellis Agnor, Ava; grandchildren, Cameron, Carey and Kristin Starr Hastings all of Ava; five brothers and families, Wayne and Norma Hastings, Lloyd and JoAnn Hastings, Boyd and Jeri Hastings, Mark and Darlene Hastings and Bruce and Carol Hastings all of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Daphne and his parents, Hayden Anderson Hastings and Gwendolyn Thomason Hastings.
A private service will be held at request of family. Roger’s legacy to all who knew him was his love of people and his kindness to all.
Cremation service was conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava. In lieu of flowers the family asked that a tree be planted in Neal’s memory.
