Was born Dec. 20, 1933 in Salina, Kan. Marcia Leigh Owen, the daughter of Arthur E. Schultz and Esther Pearl Clawson Schultz, was born Dec. 20, 1933 in Salina, Kan., and departed this life Oct. 1, 2006 in Ava, at the age of 72.
On Oct. 9, 1953 in Carson City, Nev., Marcia and Jack Wymore were married and to this union two daughters were born.
Marcia worked in Kansas City for many years as a church secretary, but not only as a secretary but also was very active in the operation of a homeless shelter there. For many years she worked with the shelter until leaving the secretarial job at church and helping co-found the Hope Faith Ministries Homeless shelter in Kansas City.
Marcia is survived by her two daughters, Micki Lynn Wymore- Walsh and her husband, Myles, of Ava, and Stephanie Ann Roadcap of Kansas City. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Arthur Schultz, of Corpus Christi, Texas.
Marcia was preceded by her husband Jack; her parents and a brother. Memorial contributions may be made to Neighbor Helping Neighbor at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home.
