Jennifer Sue Canfield, 39

Daughter of Everett and Darlene Sue Canfield Jennifer Sue Canfield passed from this life in rural Douglas County on Aug. 26, 2006, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this life in Phoenix, Ariz., on Nov. 22, 1966, the daughter of Everett and Darlene Sue Canfield.

Jennifer was interested in staying at home with her children, being outside in nature, and spending time with friends. She was always there for her children and took time to become as close as a best friend to them.

Jennifer was a very generous person and gave as much to this world as she could, not only materialistically, but in what she left for the world through her children.

Jennifer was also interested in baking with her mother and sharing her homemade “goodies” with friends and family. Some of her other passions included bingo, where she went with her mother every Saturday night, and playing pool, where she had hoped to win one last tournament. She loved animals and was always ready to take in any needy animal.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene Sue Canfield, her husband, Tony Madrid, and grandmother, Tharon Canfield.

Jennifer is survived by her father, Everett Canfield, of Gilbert, Ariz.; a son, Justin Canfield, a daughter, Amber Canfield, and a daughter-in-law, Lindsey Henry, all of Ava; two brothers, Kelly Canfield, Denver, Colo., and James Canfield, Tampa, Fla.; a grandmother, Janice Wilson, Springfield; and stepmother, Maria; as well as a host of family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 29, at Set Free Church, with the Rev. Lester Turner officiating. Services were under the direction of Ava Family Funeral Home.
