Born Jan. 18, 1928, in Mountain Grove Fay E. Hutchison, 78, of Buffalo, Iowa, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport, Iowa.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Buffalo, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Buffalo Friends Church, where Fay was a member.
Fay was born Jan. 18, 1928, in Mountain Grove, the daughter of Sherman David and Opal Minnie (Hayes) Phillips. She was united in marriage to George F. Hutchison on Nov. 5, 1949, in Rock Island County, Ill. He preceded her in death.
Fay enjoyed crocheting and the company of animals, especially dogs and cats. She was a committed member of her church and she enjoyed going to the Center for Active Seniors in Davenport.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Katherine Blew and her friend, David Nix, of Buffalo, Iowa, Marilyn Wolford and her husband, Chris, of Blue Grass, Iowa, and Vivian Moore and her husband, Randy, of Buffalo, Iowa; her sons, DeWayne Hutchison, of Buffalo, Iowa, Floyd Hutchison and his wife, Linda Gaile, of Phoenix City, Ala., Glen Hutchison, of Buffalo, Iowa, Terry Hutchison and his wife, Rhonda, of Buffalo, Iowa, Michael Hutchison and his wife, Kerrie, of Davenport, Iowa, and Gary Hutchison, and his wife, Deanna, of Ozark; her step-sons, Bernie Hutchison, of Ava, Wilburn Hutchison and his wife, Louise, of Norwood, Lee Hutchison and his wife, Sharon, of Seymour, Iowa, Ron Hutchison and his wife, Judy, of Ava, and Manuel Hutchison and his wife, Sue, of Buffalo, Iowa; 17 grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, George, she was preceded in death by her parents; her twin daughters; her stepson, Brad Branford; her grandson, Michael; her brother, Clarence; and her sisters, Elsie and Genevieve.
