Lived most of her life in the Seymour area Oleta Mae Leonard was born in the state of Colorado on Oct. 16, 1954, to Denver Ray Allen and Barbara Murphy Allen, and departed this life at Heart of the Ozarks Health Care on June 17, 2006 at the age of 51.
Oleta lived most of her life in the Seymour area were she was a homemaker enjoying crocheting, word puzzles and making arts and crafts. On Oct. 16, 1976, Oleta married Kenneth Leonard in Seymour, and to this union three sons were born.
Oleta is survived by her sons, Bryan Allen and wife, Alberta, of Waynesville, Wes Leonard and wife, Jennifer, and Tim Leonard, of Ava; two grandchildren, Madalyn Leonard, of Ava, and Seth Leonard of Forsyth; four brothers, Kenny Allen state of Missouri, Charles Allen of Stockton, Jimmy Allen of Springfield, and Johnny Whiteman of Seymour; and one sister, Sheila Rogers, of Bolivar.
Oleta was preceded in death by two stillborn infant sons, one brother, Pete Whiteman, and her parents.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice or as a love offering to the family at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at Ava Church of Christ at a later date.
Cremation was under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home of Ava.
