Former Ava resident Former Ava resident, Betty Florence Hale, went to be with the Lord on June 12, 2006, at the age of 80.
She was born in Springfield on Aug. 16, 1925, and raised her family in the Ava area. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Naomi Steinert; her brothers, Robert and Jack Steinert; and her son, Edward Sparkman.
She is survived by her son, Richard Hale and daughter-in-law Edna, of Conway; daughters Nancy Burks and son-in-law Richard, of Joplin and Janie Magdziarz and son-in-law, Richard of Springfield; her daughter-in-law, Margaret Sparkman, of Springfield; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Betty was a beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and neighbor.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. today (Thursday, June 15) at Greenlawn North Funeral Home, Springfield. Burial will follow in Payne Cemetery near Nixa.
