Born Sept. 5, 1927, near Fordland Paul D. Clouse, son of F. A. and Adah Burke Clouse, was born Sept. 5, 1927, near Fordland, Mo. He departed this life Tuesday, May 9, 2006, in Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, at the age of 78 years.
On Nov. 8, 1956, he was united in marriage to Naomi Hodges, and to this union one daughter and one son were born.
His parents; a grandson, Kendall Clouse; and two brothers preceded him in death.
Paul is survived by his wife of 49 years, Naomi, of the home; a daughter, Paula Clouse, of Springfield; a son, Ken Clouse, and his wife, Debbie, of Mansfield; a grandson, Travis Clouse, of Mansfield; two brothers, James Clouse and David Clouse, both of Mansfield; two sisters, Lois Clouse, of Springfield, and Betty Eagleston, of Mansfield; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born near Fordland and was raised in the Mansfield community. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army during the Korean War. After he and Naomi were married, they made their home in the Mansfield area and lovingly raised their family. Besides operating his farm, Paul worked as a foreman at the Tobin-Hamilton Shoe Factory for a number of years.
Paul was converted at an early age and was a Christian all of his life. He attended the Seymour Nazarene Church.
In his spare time he enjoyed farming and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed family gatherings and always told his family how much he loved each of them.
Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends.
Services are to be held Friday, May 12, 10 a.m. at the Holman-Howe Chapel, with Rev. Mark Terrill officiating. Burial will follow in the Mansfield Cemetery. Arrangements by Holman-Howe Funeral Homes, Mansfield, MO.
