Born on April 21, 1928, in Douglas County Syble Burton, the daughter of Matt Morrison and Myrtle Miller Morrison, was born on April 21, 1928, in Douglas County, and departed this life on April 27, 2006, in Ava, at the age of 78 years and 6 days.
Syble was a lifelong resident of the Ava community. She was a housewife, homemaker and worked on the farm and garden with her husband, Roy.
On Sept. 21, 1945, Syble and Roy Burton were united in marriage in Ava, and to this union five children were born. She was a Christian and attended the Murray Church. Syble loved and adored her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Anna Jean Burton Cornett; two sons-in-law, Junior Harlin Cornett and Chuck Adams; and four sisters.
Syble is survived by her husband, Roy of the home in Ava; four children and their spouses, Alvin and Becky Burton, Ava, Joyce and Kenny Smith, Ava, Darlene Burton, Ozark, and Sue and Dennis Ramilo, Norwood; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one on the way; and one sister, Reba Turner, of Illinois; and a host of relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be Saturday, April 29, at 10 a.m. in the Murray Cemetery with the Rev.Tom Johnson officiating. Love offerings may be made to the family in care of the funeral home. Services were conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
