Former superintendent of schools at Ava C.D. Brewer, 92, of Hernando, Miss., formerly of Ava, passed away May 2, 2006, in Desoto Healthcare, Southaven, Miss.
A former superintendent of schools at Ava, he was retired from the education department for the state of Missouri. He was a member of Hernando United Methodist Church, Hernando, Miss.
He is survived by a brother, H.D. Brewer and wife, Frances, of Hernando, Miss.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hernando Funeral Home where visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Graveside service and interment will be at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Ava Cemetery.
