Marvin L. Caudill, 67

Son of James and Mary (Britton) Caudill Marvin L. Caudill, 67, of Taneyville, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2006, in Skaggs Community Health Center, Branson.

He was born Dec. 5, 1938, at Chadwick, the son of James and Mary (Britton) Caudill. On Jan. 30, 1959, he was united in marriage to Mary LaVon Barcus at Ava.

Marvin was a retired welder and former employee of Hutchens Industries Inc., Mansfield Steel Plant. He loved the outdoors and was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and gathering wild mushrooms. Marvin was a hard worker but always managed to find time for his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary; three daughters and their spouses, Loretta and Frankie Engelhardt of Ava, Lena and Wesley Robertson of Forsyth, and Laverna and Chad English of Norwood; one son, Jerry Caudill and wife Tammy, of Thornfield; five brothers, Virgil, Delmar, Kenneth, Leon, and Glen Caudill; three sisters Louise Rippee, Freida Rowe, and Ester Caudill; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and several caring friends.

Friends and family gathered at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 6, in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, for a “Celebration of Life Ceremony”, honoring and celebrating Marvin’s life.
