Born Dec. 1, 1918, near Thornfield Carnie W. Yeary, age 87, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2006, in Ozark Nursing and Care Center.
She was born Dec. 1, 1918, near Thornfield, one of seven children born to the late Roy and Nellie Heriford. She was married to Warren E. Yeary for 66 years before he preceded her in death in 2003.
Mr. Yeary was a career Missouri public school teacher for 55 years. Mrs. Yeary provided invaluable nurture and support to their two children and Warren while he was developing and pursuing his career as a teacher. In addition she also pursued a career in commercial industry and retired from Royal McBee Typewriter Corporation.
Survivors include two children, Warren J. Yeary and wife, Mary, Belton, and Katherine Swearengin and husband, Jim, Sparta; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruie Engle, Springfield; three nieces; and five nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 5, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial was in Sparta Cemetery.
