Born May 26, 1949 Joe D. Hannaford passed away March 31, 2006. He was born May 26, 1949, and married Pat Johnson on Dec. 6, 1968.
Joe proudly served his country from 1966 to 2004. He received his baccalaureate degree in law enforcement and corrections from Drury College in 1977. He enjoyed fishing, farming, poker and motorcycles. He will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ivona Everett Hannaford, and his father-in-law, Gene Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Pat; father, Samuel Lawrence Hannaford; mother-in-law, Faye Johnson; sister, Deana Martin; brother, David Hannaford; half sister, Rebecca Fairchild and husband David; son, Terry Hannaford; daughter Debbie Thomas and husband, Bobby; seven grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Services were held Wednesday, April 5, with burial in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
