A resident of Seymour for 13 years Joan Kay Dillon, daughter of Oscar Leroy Loughead and Dorothy Elizabeth Miller Loughead, was born on July 17, 1936, in Kansas City, and departed this life on March 1, 2006, in rural Seymour, (Douglas County) at the age of 69 years.
Joan was a resident of Seymour for 13 years moving from Chicago, Ill.
She was a housekeeper. Joan loved to cook and read. She was a Christian.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Her survivors include four sons, Brett Sparks, Plainfield, Ill., Jason Sparks, Ill., Niall Dillon, Clearwater, Fla., and Kieron Dillon, Farmington; one brother, Gray Loughead, Kansas City; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Cremation service was conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava. A Memorial service will be held in Chicago at a later date and time.
