A resident of Mansfield for eight years moving from Wasola Ralph Henry McColgan, son of Harry McColgan and Iva (Summers) McColgan, was born on Sept. 15, 1928 in Cairo, Ill., and passed away on Jan. 29, 2006, in Springfield, at the age of 77.
Ralph was a resident of Mansfield for eight years moving from Wasola. He was a retired iron worker. He was a veteran and served his country with the U.S. Air Force. On July 6, 1979, Ralph and Sarah Horn were united in marriage in Birmingham, Ala.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents.
His survivors include his wife, Sarah of the home; two sons, Ralph McColgan Jr. and Harry McColgan, both of Bakersville, Calif.; two daughters, Annie and Cindy McColgan both of California; one sister, Francis Lamb, state of Florida; and other relatives and friends.
Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. March 3, in the Missouri Cemetery in Springfield.
