Bonnie Henrietta Williams, 85

Was born Nov. 7, 1920, in Pansy, Mo. Bonnie Henrietta Williams, daughter of Walter and Stella I. (Lakey) Fitzgerald, was born Nov. 7, 1920, in Pansy, Mo., and departed this life Jan. 5, 2006, in her home at Ava, at the age of 85.

Bonnie was a lifelong resident of the Ava area. On April 1, 1939, Bonnie and Carl Williams were united in marriage in Ava. Bonnie and Carl were blessed with four children.

Bonnie and her husband operated the Breeden Store for 25 years. She was also employed with Chastain’s Nursing Home, which is now Heart of the Ozarks, as a cook until her retirement. Bonnie was a member of the Breeden Freewill Baptist Church.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; one son, Norman; two grandchildren, Brad Hadeen and Angie Williams; her parents; three brothers, Merman, Herman and Emra; and one sister, Vonice Rose.

She is survived by one son, Wilson Williams, Springfield; two daughters, Dessie Ludwig, Ava, and Roberta Hadeen, Berryville, Ark.; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; six sisters, Zora Fitzgerald and Stella Fitzgerald both of Seymour, Nola Gifford, Ava, Genieve Wallace, Bettendorf, Iowa, Doris Woods, Long Lane, and Erma Lee Lupton, Ava; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Revs. Lee Hampton and Joe “Cub” Lafferty officiating. Interment followed in the Ava Cemetery.
