Graduate of Clever High School class of 1947 Betty D. Gott, age 76, of Upland, Calif., lost her battle of 18 months with cancer and passed away Dec. 20, 2005, at her home surrounded by her family members at her side.
She was born in Clever and was an Ontario/Upland resident for the past 53 years. She was a graduate of Clever High School class of 1947.
She was a member of San Antonio Heights Community Church in Upland, Calif.
She and her husband, Wallace, founded W.D. Gott Construction Co., and worked side by side from 1956 to the present.
Betty is survived by her husband, Wallace D. Gott, of Upland, Calif.; her sons, Michael Gott, Upland, Calif., and Terry Gott, of Victorville, Calif; a daughter, Connie Gott, of Upland, Calif.; a sister, Helen Creiger, Fallbrook, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Janelle Cox, Betsy West, Robert Gott, Leslie Nilson, Bryan Gott, Christine Rodriguez and Erin Gott; and is survived by eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur K. Carden; her mother, Rosa Laney and step-father, Archie Laney; her sisters, Ethel Parsons, Hazel Joplin, Erma Wucherpfennig, Pearl Draper and her brother, George Carden.
Visitation was held Dec. 22, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Draper Mortuary. Funeral services were held on Friday, Dec. 23, at 10 a.m. at the Draper Memorial Chapel, Ontario, Calif.
Interment was in Bellevue Memorial Park, Ontario, Calif.
