Son of George Peter Lemmon and Wilma Grace Mackey Lemmon Noel R. Lemmon, son of George Peter Lemmon and Wilma Grace Mackey Lemmon, was born on Oct. 20, 1927, in Springfield, and passed away on Nov. 25, 2005 in his home in Ava, at the age of 78 years.
Noel was a resident of the Ava community for most of his life. He was a farmer and also an electrician and general carpenter with his father in Kansas City, and later in Ava for several years. Noel was employed at the Douglas County Court House for several years and also worked for the Ava Recycling Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by cousins and many friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Nov. 29, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Tom Johnson officiating. A graveside service will be held today (Thursday) at 3:30 p.m. at the Turkey Creek Cemetery, Walnut Grove, conducted by Wilson-Brim-Daniel Funeral Home, Ash Grove.
Local arrangements were conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
