Melva D. Lupton, 63

Daughter of Melvin and Juanita (Putnam) Rogers Melva D. Lupton, 63, of Ozark, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, in Cox South Hospital, Springfield. She was born Oct. 18 1942, in Ava, the daughter of Melvin and Juanita (Putnam) Rogers.

Melva was employed by Cox South Hospital where she spent a life of service to others and extended special care as a surgery technician. She was generous with her time, talents and enjoyed reading, family photographs, crocheting, fishing and especially loved horses.

A loving mother and exceptional grandmother, Melva is survived by four children, Carla Lupton of Ozark, Charles Lupton Jr. of Ava, Gary Lupton of Sparta, and Harlan Lupton and wife, Cathy, of Billings; two sisters, Norma Stillings of Ava, and Anna Goss of Lee’s Summit; one grandchild; special friend, Ken Leigh; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many caring friends. Melva was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Jason Shaw officiating the service. Visitation and family time was held one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial followed in Bragg Cemetery west of Ava with the Rev. Oren Alcorn officiating, with burial under the direction of Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark.
