Born Dec. 27, 1927, with her twin sister, Raye Faye (Sherrill) Hogan, 77, passed away Nov. 23, 2005, in her home at Merriam, Kan.
She was born Dec. 27, 1927, with her twin sister, Raye, to Eddie and Dora Rosezilla (Thurman) Sherrill.
In August 1950, she married Robert L. Hogan, and to this union one son was born.
Faye was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a Christian. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and shopping at garage sales and thrift stores with her good friend, Glee. She also enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; one son, Ed; both parents; one brother; and six sisters.
Faye is survived by one daughter-in-law, Pearl Hogan; one grandson, Robert J. Hogan; and one granddaughter, Kathyrn Hogan, all of Merriam, Kan.; two brothers-in-law, Norman King, of Ava, and Dan Hogan, of Richmond; two sisters-in-law, Connie Sherrill, of Ava, and Mary Ann Hogan, of Richmond; other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, under the care and direction of Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. B.J. Evans officiating. Visitation was at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery in Oakland, Ark.
