Was born Sept. 11, 1919, in Ozark County, Missouri Harvie L. Graham, son of Richard (Chiggar Bill) Graham and Rutha (Welch) Graham, was born Sept. 11, 1919, in Ozark County, Missouri and departed this life Oct. 12, 2005 at the age of 86.
Harvie was a life long resident of the Ava area. He and Annabelle Sherrill were united in marriage at Girdner, on Nov. 19, 1938. Harvie and Annabelle were blessed with three daughters. Harvie was a farmer, a member of the Noble Church, and an avid hunter.
Harvie was preceded in death by his wife, Annabelle; his parents; one sister, Thelma; one brother, Doil; one daughter, Glenda; one grandson, Odas Kresse Jr.; and a son-in-law, Larry Parker.
His survivors include two daughters, Jewell and husband, Bill Hogan of Lowell, Ark., and Zilla Parker, of Ava; a sister, Glenda Grisham; four grandchildren, Kim Johnson and husband Kent, Mark Hogan, Tami Jenkins and husband Greg, and Jaudawn Janson and husband, Karl; eight great-grandchildren with another expected in December; two special friends he considered daughters, Georgia Bishop and Betty Harmon, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Revs. Marvin Graham and Donald Potter officiating. Interment followed in the Hilo Cemetery. Visitation was held Friday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Hilo Cemetery.
