Son of John and Melinda Abraham, was born on April 22,1996 Matthew Holt Abraham, the son of John and Melinda Abraham, was born on April 22, 1996, in Mtn. Home, Ark. He passed away on Sept. 28, 2005, in Springfield, at the age of 9 years.
Matt resided in Gainesville with his parents and sister, Alyssa. Matt attended school in Gainesville where he was in the fourth grade. He was an active boy and was particularly fond of baseball. He participated in the Gainesville Lions Club Summer Baseball Program every summer. He also enjoyed playing basketball in the Gainesville Elementary Popcorn League. He was also in the Special Choir and the Cub Scouts.
He attended church at the Church of Christ in Gainesville, where he took part in the youth activities.
Matt is survived by his parents, John and Melinda; and his sister, Alyssa, of the home in Gainesville; grandparents, Bob and Kay Young, Gainesville, Winston and Carolyn Abraham, Wichita, Kans., Charlie Hannaford, Ava; great-grandparents, Edna Hannaford, Gainesville, Don and Dorcas Rackley, Gainesville; Aunt Angie and husband, Brian Calvert and son, Gage; Aunt Hope and husband, Corey Hillhouse and daughter, Lauren; Aunt Jenny Parret and children, Jake and Julie. Matt is also survived by many other loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Matt will also be missed by all of the friends that he has touched in so many ways.
Preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Albert Holt Hannaford.
Services were conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
