Born July 28, 1933, at Mansfield, he was the son of Sherman Blaine and Anna Bennett Robertson. Memorial services for James Lee Robertson, 72, of Carmichael, Calif., will be held Sept. 17, at Robla School in Carmichael.

He attended Anchor country school in Douglas County before moving at an early age to California where he lived until his death.
He served in the U.S. Army with tours of duty in Germany in the early 1950s. He retired in 1988 after serving more than 30 years as the supervisor of the shipping and maintenance departments of McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento, Calif.
Jim enjoyed travel, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Wanda; two daughters, Vicki and Cari; one son, Jimmy, of the home; two stepdaughters, Debbie and Lorna; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Jean and Wes Robinson, Cusick, Wash.; two nieces; two aunts, Jessie Purtle, of Ozark, and Lela Robertson, of Ava; and numerous cousins in the Douglas County area.
