Lloyd A McCleskey, 77, a longtime resident of Alamogordo, N.M., died Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, at his home.
Lloyd was born Sept. 25, 1927, in Seminole, Okla. He retired in 1982 from civil service at Seal Beach, Calif., where he had been an equipment mechanic. His career with civil service totaled over 30 years. Lloyd was a very caring and kind individual. He was respected and loved by everyone who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley, (daughter of the late Grant and Della Ward, of Ava) of the family home; a son, Aubrey Dean McCleskey, of Anaheim, Calif.; a daughter, Caren Vigil and her husband, Vince, of Orange, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Deb Sanderson and her husband, Jim, of Tularosa, N.M., and Tammy Walker and her husband Steve, of Rochelle, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Aug. 16, at 2 p.m., in the Hamilton-O’Dell Chapel with Pastor Ron Johnson officiating.
Interment was in Monte Vista Cemetery in New Mexico.
