Frank D. Stutts, 68

Frank D. Stutts, son of Mike A. Stutts and Julia G. Winn Stutts, was born on Sept. 15, 1936, in Charleston, S.C., and passed away on Aug. 20, 2005, in St. John’s Hospital in Springfield at the age of 68.

Frank was a tree trimmer and a resident of the Ava area for 16 years moving from Kansas City. Frank and Florence Rowe were united in marriage on June 10, 1961 in Kansas City, and to this union five children were born. Frank was a Christian.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Jack, Louis and Phillip Stutts.

He is survived by his wife, Florence of the home in Ava; five children, Jason Stutts, Belton, David Stutts, Ava, Mrs. Brenda Osborn, Dora, Charley Stutts, Drexel, and Debbie Stutts, Ava; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; four brothers, Herbert Stutts, Edisto Island, S.C., Paul Stutts, K.C., Robert Stutts, Belton, and Jimmy Stutts, Grain Valley; three sisters, Mrs. Julia Diggers and Mrs. Mary Williams, both of Charleston, S.C., and Virginia Stutts, state of California; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services were held Wednesday, Aug., 24, at 2 p.m. at the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, with the Rev. Gary Stigall officiating. Interment was in the Ava Cemetery.

Visitation was held Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Services were conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
