Cinita Blanche Nave, the daughter of Charles M. Spurlock and Grace (Lytle) Spurlock, was born March 28, 1914 in Ava, and departed this life Aug. 18, 2005 at the age of 91.
On Aug. 19, 1929 Cinita and H.L. “Jake” Nave were united in marriage in Ava, and to this union a daughter was born.
Cinita was a resident of the Ava area for most of her life.
She was employed with Rawlings Sporting Goods as a serg operator for several years.
Preceding Cinita in death were her husband, Jake, her parents and two sisters, Imogene Eagan and Betty Spurlock.
Survivors include a daughter, Treva Fulton, Troutdale, Ore.; one grandson, Larry H. Fulton and wife, Christina; three great-grandchildren, Cody, Taylor and Stacy; two sisters, Mary Lou Ousley and husband, Donnie, and Martha Stadler and husband, Edward “Boots” Stadler; and a host of other friends and relatives.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Revs. Oren Alcorn and Robert Roberts officiating. Interment followed in the Ava Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday from 1 p.m. until service time in the funeral home.
