Olive Lucretia Boorman the daughter of Victor Hunt and Eva Lowe, was born Aug. 25, 1919, in London, England, and departed this life July 7, 2005 at the age of 85.
On July 26, 1947, Olive and Edward George Boorman were united in marriage in Southend-On-Sea, England.
Olive was a resident of Ava for the past three years, moving here from Ozark, Missouri. Olive was employed as an electrical worker in London and as a waitress in the U.S. She enjoyed knitting, shopping, traveling and being with her family.
Olive was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Anthony Barnes, a son-in-law, Paul “Skeet” Barnes, and a sister, Connie Anderson.
Olive is survived by her husband, Edward, of the home, Ava; three daughters, Barbara Barnes, Redondo Beach, Calif., Lorraine Guengerich and husband, Terry, Ava, and Michele Hyduke and her husband, Steve, Collierville, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Jeff, David and Mike Barnes, Crystal Collom, Chelsea Maggard, and Christopher Raffles; nine great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 11, in Mt. Olive Cemetery with the Rev. Lee Maggard officiating. Cremation and graveside service were under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
