Joan McMaster entered into the arms of her heavenly Father on June 29, 2005.
She was born Sept. 30, 1941, in Rippee, Mo., to Rev. Grant and Della Strong Ward.
On April 16, 1960, she and Doyle Lee McMaster, of Wynn, Ark., were united in marriage and to this union three children were born.
Doyle was in the U. S. Air Force. They were stationed at several bases here in the U. S. and overseas. She made a loving home wherever they were. Upon retirement they chose Alamogardo, New Mexico.
She was preceded in death by both her parents and three infant sisters.
Joan is survived by her husband, Doyle (Mac), of the home; two sons, Jeffrey McMaster, and wife, Cindy, of Alamogardo, New Mexico, Dennis McMaster, of Tularosa, New Mexico; a daughter, Pamela Lee, and husband, Randy, of Peoria, Ariz.; one sister, Shirley McCleskey, of Alamogardo, New Mexico; three brothers, Lawrence Ward, of Ava, Roy James Ward, and Starlett Ray Ward, both of Madisonville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Amber Lee, Rowdy Lee, Sarah McMaster; several nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 2, at the Alamogardo Funeral Home with Rev. John C. Willard officiating. Interment was in Monte Vista Cemetery, Alamogardo, New Mexico.
