Ruth Nation, the daughter of Homer Clinton Warren and Martha Jane (Currier) Warren, was born May 6, 1917, in the Sweden community and departed this life June 14, 2005, at the age of 88.
On March 27, 1953, Ruth and Robert Nation were united in marriage in Galveston, Texas. Ruth enjoyed fishing, auctions, traveling, taking care of her farm animals and her family.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters, two half brothers and three half sisters.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Nation, of the home in Ava; two sons, Jimmy Rowe and wife, Barbara, and Jerry Engle and wife, Vickie, all of Ava; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; one brother, Royal Warren, of Oregon; three sisters, May Barnett, Ozark, Hattie Frey, of Kansas and Doris Troix, of California; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, June 17, 1-6 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with cremation following service under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava. Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice.
