Beverly Ann Russell, 63, of Kansas City, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2005, at St. Luke’s Hospital after a courageous battle against colon cancer. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, June 17, at 10 a.m., in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Jerry Applegate officiating.
Beverly was born on June 14, 1941, in Ava. After graduating from Ava High School in 1959, she made her home in Kansas City. Her most recent career was at DST, which was very fulfilling to her and where she made many friends. Beverly will be remembered for her love of books, crossword puzzles, art and her dry sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Lee F. and Lottie Russell, and three siblings, Lee Max Russell, Robert Neal Russell and Virginia King.
Beverly is survived by a twin sister, Carol Sue Russell, Kansas City, four sisters and a brother, Bette Dean Douglass and husband, Steve, Rolla, Linda Kay Napoliello and husband, Ronald, Houston, Texas, Sheryl Jo Russell, Lenexa, Kan., Samuel John Russell and wife, Judy, Ozark, and Lana Lea Logston and husband, David, Independence; two sisters-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and beloved friends.
