Ryan Lovel Rogers, 58

Ryan Lovel Rogers, son (and third child) of Loren Lovel and Dorothy (Cosper) Rogers, was born on Dec. 6, 1946, and left his life on April 16, 2005, in Springerville, Ariz. Ryan was a resident of Thornfield, Mo., for a brief time in 2003-2004. He is the brother of Tenoha Eager (Thornfield), Shirlie Wilson (Clinton, Ark.), Denny and Albert Rogers, Ginger Gilliam, and Fara Areballo, all of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ryan was a Church of Christ minister for over 30 years, and a floor installer by trade. He was also a friend to and leading authority on country music legend, Merle Haggard.

Ryan is survived by his beloved wife, Leona; his precious children, Shane, Dustin, Michael Rogers, Presley Sultan, William and Leslie Damon, Amber Whitman, Don Looker; 12 grandchildren, Ava, Cailee and Michael Rogers, Derek, Daniel and Deche Sultan, Matthew and Clay Damon, Latrisha, Aimee and Courtney Whitman and Dustin Looker; all of his brothers and sisters; nieces, nephews and many cousins.

Ryan’s nieces and nephews include, Cliffy Hughes (Thornfield), Cindy Marsh (Bradleyville), Darrell Eager (Greenwood, Ark.), Thomas, Rondo and Gator Damon, Lettie Baker, Moteet Ennis (Arkansas), Dee Dee Poslednik, Denny II, Rhett, and Stormy Rogers, Cassie Meadows, Misty McGee, Dawnie, David and Ray Gilliam, Jordan Rogers, Durand Jaramillo, and April Eager (Arizona), Chad Whitman (New York), Diane, Ricky, Patty and Johnny Johnson (Oregon), Sandy Johnson (California), George, Myra and Kenny Rogers, and Connie and David Slade, all of California.

Funeral was held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints in Springerville, Ariz., under the direction of Burnham-Jewekes Funeral Home of Eager, Ariz. The services were conducted by Bishop Steve Hamblin, and presided over by the St. Johns State Presidency.
