Sgt. Victor C. Davidson, 86

Victor was the fourth child born to William and Ethel Davidson in McClurg, Mo., Nov. 9, 1918. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather went to be with his Lord, Feb. 17, 2005, surrounded by his loving family.

Victor was the fourth child born to William and Ethel Davidson in McClurg, Mo., Nov. 9, 1918. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps from Oct. 29, 1942 to Nov. 10, 1945.

Victor moved to Selah in March 1946. He was united in marriage to Lena Boggs, July 3, 1947.

He is survived by his wife, Lena; sister, Erma Siler; four children, son, Don Davidson and his wife, Sue, daughter, Sharon Young and husband, Jerry, daughter, Marie Cooper and husband, Bill, and daughter, Ethel Whitehouse and husband, Don; seven grandchildren and their spouses; and seven great-grandchildren.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ethel Davidson; brother, Archie Davidson; and sister, Opal Potter.

Victor was a fruit orchardist for over 25 years and later retired from Ross Packing in 1973. He loved working in his garden and yard and really had a green thumb. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool, cards, and most of all, being with family and friends.

Victor was everyone’s friend. He will be sorely missed by his family and many friends.

Funeral services were held at Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors, Feb. 22, 2005, with concluding services at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital c/o Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors.
