Daniel Amasa Lyman, 13, Seymour, Mo., passed away Friday, April 8, 2005, in Webster County after an accidental drowning. He was born the son of Blaine and Candy (McCrae) Lyman on Oct. 5, 1991, in Escalante, Utah, the seventh of 11 children.
Daniel was an energetic boy known for his affinity for reading, farming, blacksmithing, woodworking and gardening. He especially enjoyed family gatherings and church activities at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Ava.
Daniel was preceded in death by one sister, Jennifer Lyman; and his paternal grandfather, Randel Lyman.
He is survived by his parents, Blaine and Candy Lyman, of Seymour; nine siblings, April, Eliza, Hannah, Jonathan, and Emma, all of the home, Erin, David and Renee, all of Springfield, Mo., and Calleen Peterson and husband, Paul, of Falls Church, Virg.; paternal grandmother, Gwen Lyman, of Bakersfield, Calif.; maternal grandmother, Billie June Jeffs and husband, Richard, of Fallbrook, Calif.; maternal grandfather, David McCrae and wife, Tina, of Camdenton, Mo.; other extended family; and several caring friends.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ava, under the care and direction of Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ava, with Bishop Jerry Brown officiating. Burial followed in the Denney Cemetery.
A memorial fund for the Lyman family has been established at the Seymour Bank.
