Glenda Jo (Walker) Hall was born Aug. 26, 1937, in Ava, the daughter of Carl and Opal Scribner Walker. She went to Heaven on April 2, 2005, in Cox Medical Center North, Springfield, at the age of 67.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Harold, with whom she shared 46 years, two daughters, Sheila Scott and husband, Butch, of Ava, and Tracy Hunter and husband, Billy, of Springfield; four stepsons, Clifford Hall and wife, Shirley, Springfield, Larry Hall, Sparta, Jerry Hall and wife, Gayla, Springfield, and Darrell Hall and wife, Joyce, Springfield; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Omar Walker and wife, Helen, Lake Ellsinore, Calif., Jerry Walker and wife, Lydia, Yakima, Wash., and Frank Walker, Port Orchard, Wash. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, and many special neighbors and caring friends.
Glenda Jo was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one infant granddaughter.
She was a member of the Full Gospel Church in Springfield.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Revs. Junior Hall and Ronnie Baker officiating. Burial was in the Dyer Cemetery.
