Adrian W. Sellers, 80

Adrian W. Sellers, 80, of East Moline, Ill., died Feb. 12, 2005, at Forest Hill Health and Rehab Center, East Moline.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, with a visitation one hour prior to service time at Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd., Moline. Burial was at National Cemetery.

Adrian was born Feb. 28, 1924, in Rome, Mo., to Virgil and Lula Thompson Sellers. He married Patsy Mazzarollo in Mtn. Home, Ark., in 1949.

Adrian was a forge hammer operator for Deere Harvester for 30 years.

He was a World War II Army veteran serving at Omaha Beach, Normandy, and at the Battle of the Bulge. He was a deacon at Moline Gospel Temple where he also drove the church bus and brought people from the nursing home to church. He also loved to read Scripture.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Sellers, East Moline; his children, Rodney (Joy) Sellers, Davenport, Iowa, Cindy Lester, Moline, Ill., and Terry Sellers, Sherrard, Ill.; grandchildren, Tricia Thurman, Christa Thurman, Michael Sellers, and Jacob Sellers; great-grandchild, Preston Thurman; one brother, Harold (Diane) Sellers, Naperville, Ill.; one sister, Sharon (Jerry) Wood, Ava; a brother-in-law, Earl Walley, Ava; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Audrey Walley.
